Hooray for Spinetingler!!

I was so thrilled to see that the Spinetingler Awards are including single author collections and multiple author anthologies in their award categories this year. Spinetingler has always been a big supporter of the short form and this is just another step forward in the recognition of the short form.

So, all you publishers, editors, authors, whoever, that have been involved in getting crime/mystery/noir short stories collected and published in 2010, SUBMIT THEM FOR CONSIDERATION! You can find all the details at http://www.spinetinglermag.com/2010/12/16/reading-period-for-2011-spinetingler-awards-is-now-open/

The awards are constantly being revisited to see how they can improve. We want to remain flexible to keep trying to bring the best award possible. We've dropped some awards over the years and added others. We recently decided to try the new short story book category to augment the online short story category. We'll see how it goes.

Also this category has another trial balloon wrapped up inside of it. As of right now it is the only category where e-books are eligible. We are reserving the right to withhold making a decision of the inclusion of ebook only releases for the other categories until we can see how it works out with this category.

BTW - congrats on winning the Mulholland contest.

I was wondering about e-book anthologies, I'm glad you're including them also.

And thank you, but how did you know, I just found out.
