Mystery Tribune - Open for Fiction Submissions

Mystery Tribune is seeking crime/mystery stories of 3000 to 6000 words for both their online and print magazines.  Submissions are through Submittable.  You can find the details here.  There are stories posted online so you can check out what types of stories they publish.  There is no mention of payment but I've heard that they do pay but not how much.

Hat tip to Michael Bracken for the link.

Warning: They wanted to publish a 1300 word story of mine but claimed they didn't know what to pay me as they didn't want to insult writers of greater word length. I wrote back that I was willing to work with them and suggested a pro rate and opened bargaining with 8 cents. They came back saying that was a celebrity rate and that I can resub it for their no pay site.

I get the feeling that they never wanted to pay for it in the beginning. :-/

Thanks for letting us know, Mike. I'll pass this along.
