Rayor Books- Anthology Call

Rayor Books has posted an anthology call for "Occupied:  Stories from After the Invasion".  They're looking for science fiction stories of 4000 to 8000 words "set after Earth has lost an invasion and the home world is now occupied".  The deadline is July 1, 2017 and payment is $25.  You can find the details here.

HellBound Books has posted four anthology calls for horror short stories and poetry.  These are all non-paying.  The deadlines for all are June 19, 2017.  Stories should be 5000 to 8000 words.  You can find the details here.

Sirens Call Publications - Anthology Call

Sirens Call Publications has posted a new anthology call for "Mental Ward:  Stories from the Asylum - Volume 2".  They're looking for horror stories of 4000 to 8000 words that are set in an Asylum/Institution.  The deadline is July 31, 2017 and payment is $25.  I've linked to their blog for the details as it's easier to read and they have a link there to their website for more details.

Reality Skimming Press - Anthology Calls - Canadian Writers

Reality Skimming Press has posted two anthology calls.  The first is Vancouver Science Fiction and the second is Water.  Only Canadian authors can submit.  Both are looking for stories up to 5000 words with payment being $30.  You can find the details and deadlines for each here.

Stitched Smile Publications - Anthology Call

Stitched Smile Publications has posted an anthology call for "Drive-in of the Damned:  Black and White".  They're looking for horror stories up to 7500 words set prior to 1970.  They have set up the story with a piece explaining the entrance to "The drive-in of the damned".  Your story must be about a person in the vehicle which is entering.  The deadline is October 31, 2017 and payment is $10.  You can find the details here.

87 Bedford - Anthology Call

87 Bedford is seeking submissions for the first issue of their "Speculative Mystery Anthology".  They're looking for stories of 2000 to 7000 words that combine mystery with one of the speculative fiction genres.  The deadline is May 31, 2017 and payment is $30.  You can find the details here.

UPDATE:  According to Ralan.com this market was closed by the editors.  Now, I don't know if that is for just the magazine or for the anthology also.

Level Best Books - Anthology Call

May 31 is the last day to submit a short story for Level Best Books annual anthology.  The title is Snowbound and they're looking for crime/mystery stories up to 5000 words set in New England or written by a New England writer.  Payment is $25.  You can find the details here.

Sometimes I run across an anthology call that sounds like it might be fun and this one from Terrapin Books is just that.  They're looking for poems about donuts!  You can submit up to five poems.  The deadline is May 31, 2017 and payment is one copy.  You can find the call here.  Submissions are through Submittable.

Franklin/Kerr - Anthology Call

Publisher Franklin/Kerr has posted an anthology call for "Down with the Fallen".  They're looking for horror stories of 2000 to 8000 words with post-apocalyptic and dystopian themes.  The deadline is July 21, 2017 and payment is $5 per 1000 words plus royalties.  You can find the details here.

Pantheon Magazine - Open for Submissions

Pantheon Magazine has opened submissions for their Fall issue.  They're looking for stories in all genres fitting the theme of "Tethys, Titaness of Fresh Water".  Meaning they want stories that revolve around fresh water such as rivers, lakes, etc.  The deadline is July 31, 2017 and payment is 1cent a word.  You can find the details here.  They do accept reprints but there is no payment for these.

Fictional Pairings - New Market

Fictional Pairings is a fairly new market for flash fiction.  They're looking for stories of 200 to 1000 words in the genres of science fiction, mystery, and fantasy.  They will pair the story with a song from Bandcamp when published.  The payment is 75cents for stories of 200 to 600 words and $1.25 for stories of 601 to 1000 words.  Not very much but better than nothing.  They'll also accept reprints that have been published on your blog or website.  You can find the submission details here.
