Whippleshield Books - Anthology Call

British publisher Whippleshield Books has issued a call for submissions for the first in a series of mini-anthologies that they're going to publish.  This one is "Aphrodite Terra" and they want realistic stories that revolve around the planet Venus.  Stories should be no more than 6000 words and payment is 3p per word.  The deadline is February 1, 2014.  You can find all the details here.

"realistic stories that revolve around the planet Venus."

Sounds a bit oxymoronic.

Yes, they're looking for science fiction stories but not genre. It doesn't make a lot of sense but then most literary calls don't. :)

They explain it much better in their guidelines than I can.
