On Writing Steampunk by James Blaylock

The Boing Boing site has a wonderful essay up by James Blaylock called "On Writing Steampunk".  While he does talk about steampunk he also talks about how reading helps him write.  Very interesting reading.

Thank you for sharing this. He's one of my favorite writers, though I haven't read his steampunk work.
The suburban horror novels "All the Bells on Earth" and "The Last Coin" stuck with me forever.

You're most welcome, Thomas. I've never ran across any of his work but after reading this essay, I'll be looking. Thanks for the recommendations!
