Horrified Press has posted an anthology call for "Detectives of the Fantastic". They're looking for short stories of 2000 to 6000 words with detectives who solve mysteries surrounding supernatural occurrences. They have an until full deadline with four stories accepted so far (current acceptances page - scroll to the bottom). Payment is a royalty split. George Wilhite is the editor. You can
find the details here, it's the first submission call on the page.

I've never heard of anyone ever actually receiving royalties from any of their titles. So be cautious folks.
The publisher stopped by to comment on a post last year, Dusty, and he said he has made payments on some of the anthologies. But, you're right, everyone should proceed with caution no matter where you submit.
At first, I thought Dusty was going to say, "I've never heard of anyone ever actually receiving royalties from shared-royalties deals."
I've seen so little return on straight shared that I don't even bother. If the editor can't scrape together a $5 advance against shared royalties .....

You're right, Stephen, there's no reason why they can't at least pay the authors $5 up front.
