Spectacular Publications - Another Warning
Author Brian Keene has more on the failure of small press Spectacular Publications to actually publish the books they've solicited from writers. He's also posted his rules for submitting to a small press which should be read and memorized by every new writer.

I left a link on their page from Jordan Kroll's site yesterday after reading your post. It was promptly deleted and I was blocked. So that's the kind of folks we're talking about here.
Yes, that certainly seems to be the case. I've become very leary of start-up publishers. Especially if they're looking for more than I think they can handle. Like putting out calls for a dozen anthologies instead of starting off with one or two high quality anthologies.
