Tobias Buckell has put together a few thoughts on being a writer over at his blog. He talks more about the art of writing rather than actually making a living as a writer. I think the saddest part of this is knowing that even if you put in the work you might never reach the exalted heights of famous author. Which brings up the question - Will you be happy if you don't make the big bucks and have adoring fans throw rose petals at your feet?
Since January is a time of looking forward and setting goals, what are your hopes and dreams as a writer? How do you measure your own success? In dollars and cents or one story at a time?
