This looks like it might be a fun new zine. "Blood and Tacos" is bringing back the pulp heroes of past eras. Submissions are currently invitation only but they are willing to take a look at a query if you're up for writing men's adventure stories. You can check out the new site and read all about the new project here http://www.bloodandtacos.com/
Hat tip to Brian Lindenmuth for the link!!

Well, a few decades after pulp. 1970s and '80s. Could still be good.
Let me amend that. Now that I've looked through the Blood and Tacos site, I see that Johnny Shaw makes a decent case for the 1970's and '80s adventure serial paperbacks being the spiritual descendants of the original pulps (1920s - early '50s).
I was just going to point that page out to you, Manuel :) I guess pulp has never really died just taken on different forms over the years.
Agreed, Sandra. And I'd love to get into Blood & Tacos, but I'm at a loss: never read those books. I'm working on a pulp story, but it's more like 1930s Spider/Shadow/G-8 type stuff.
Send him a query - what's the worst that could happen? A possible no and maybe a yes.
Sandra - Thanks for the plug.
I'm kind of making it up as I go, but I'm very conscious of not allowing the specificity of the site to limit it. With the first issue almost to bed, it was nice to see that regardless of whether or not the writer played it straight or went broad, they are equally entertaining.
I don't know how deep the stories are going to be, but they're fun as hell.
Welcome to the Corner, Johnny! I'm looking forward to the first issue and fun is good when you're reading.
