Someday I'm going to publish a list of anthologies with bizarre themes. This one just might be in the top twenty! Lovecratian anthologies are right up there with titles like "High Seas Cthulhu," "Hard Boiled Cthulhu," and "Frontier Cthulhu!"
Bicycles and cyclists don't even come close to the top for me, Rick, but I'll agree that there's a lot of weird ones out there. There was one that centered around bathrooms which I though was pretty weird.
The more I see these calls, the more I realize how narrow I am.
Aren't we all, Patti. I think we tend to stick with what we'e best at instead of going out on that limb and perhaps failing.
I admire the older writers who wrote in every genre they could. Max Brand is best known for his Westerns but he also created Dr. Kildare. That's a good stretch of the imagination.
Ha. I wrote a story for Ride-1 but was too late for the deadline. It just got picked up by another publication. Maybe a sequel? Ha, again.
I'm always missing deadlines, Ron, mostly because an idea comes too late or I just draw a blank. At least you found another market for your story. Congratulations!
Thanks for the tip, Sandra. After seeing your note i wrote a flash story that might work. I think the bathroom anthology was called Who Died In Here?
Good luck with your submission, Rob!! "Who Died in Here" could be the one.
