The September issue of "Frontier Tales" has gone live http://www.frontiertales.com/ It was nice seeing J. R. Lindermuth, a familiar name in the crime shorts arena with a story in this issue.
On the site I also discovered that there's now a blog associated with Frontier Tales called Cactus Country Publishing http://cactuscountrypublishing.blogspot.com/ I also found a contest that centers on the picture of an unknown cowboy. Details for the contest can be found here http://www.highhillpress.com/Cactus%20Country.htm They're looking for 3000 words with a November 30 deadline. Winner receives 5 copies of the anthology the story is published in.
Cactus Country is also launching a line of anthologies which is open to subs up to 5000 words. I didn't see any mention payment. You can find the details here http://cactuscountrypublishing.blogspot.com/p/cactus-country-anthology-submission.html
High Hill Press also looks to be a Western Publishing site that you might want to check out. http://www.highhillpress.com/
