I was pointed to a magazine called Liberty Island yesterday as a possible market. They accept all genre stories of 1000 to 2000 words. Payment is only by the tip jar that is posted with your story. There is a down side as only stories accepted for the home page get tip jars. Other stories are posted on a space called Open Range where you have to be a member of the site and there is no payment for these. Also the home page is very slow to load.
You can find the submission details here.

After reading their mission statement, I doubt if they'd want my stuff, or I theirs: "At Liberty Island, readers of a conservative or libertarian bent can find fiction, music, video and graphics that reflect their social values and political beliefs ...."
Actually, this pisses me off: "At Liberty Island, good still triumphs over evil, hope still overcomes despair, and America is still a noble experiment and a beacon to the rest of the world." Do they think liberals don't believe in that stuff?
Sorry -- not a complaint toward you, Sandra. Thank you for doing so much to help hapless writers like me find opportunities.
It's okay, Manuel. I wasn't very impressed with them but they do publish crime fiction.
