Funny -- I checked your blog to see if you'd heard of this anthology.
Regret to say I'm not familiar with The Replacements, but now I'm intrigued.
I don't know the group either, Manuel, but the theme does appeal to me.
You probably don't need to be overly familiar with their work. For the Pulp Ink anthology we had to write stories based on music and scenes from the movie Pulp Fiction and I'd never seen it. Still haven't. :)
Thank heaven for You Tube.
"Pulp Fiction" is a good movie, and fun, although overrated. More important for being something really different (at the time). I wish Tarantino were as good as he thinks he is.
I'm not a big fan of his work. I've tried but his movies just don't do it for me.
Okay, I'm committed to doing a story for the anthology (or submitting one; no telling if I'll make the cut).
WooHoo! Good luck, Manuel.
