Print the Legend

After all these years we still don't know the truth about the infamous Lizzie Bordon. Perhaps that's why we're so fascinated with the case. Of course the truth will never be as delicious as the legend of Lizzie Bordon.

A retired detective (if I remember correctly) recently got access to the house in Fall River and after all this time supposedly found blood in a wash basin in the basement. This evidence could support the theory that Lizzie stripped naked to commit the murders, and that the maid helped her wash afterward. The absence of blood on Lizzie's clothes has long been a puzzling aspect of the crime.

That's a long time for blood to hang around, Al. Wouldn't it be too degraded at this point to prove anything?

I'm hazy on the details, but I think it was identifiable as blood, but too degraded for DNA.

A case that still fascinates after all these years. Thanks for the link, Sandra. That was intriguing.

Then it's just another piece of the legend, Al. I often thought it was too bad Lizzie didn't keep a diary so we could know the real truth about what happened.

I think it will always fascinate the public, David.
