Thanks, Sandra! I also have to give my thanks to the judges because each one of them has to read dozens of stories (in the past, there have been 60 or more in some categories) without any remuneration or even credit since they mostly remain anonymous. Talk about a labor of love!

A special thanks to Gwen Mayo, 2012 Derringer Coordinator, and all the volunteer judges who gave so generously of their time to read the stories and narrow down the finalists.
