Thriller Magazine - New Market

There's a new zine just rolled out online called Thriller Magazine and they're open to submissions for their second issue.  They're looking for stories up to 5000 words.  Reprints are welcome.  They're open to horror or crime fiction with an emphasis on thriller.  The first issue is up as a pdf for you to read to get a feel for what they're looking for.  This is a non-paying market.  You can find the details here.  Thanks to Michael Bracken for the link!

Apex Magazine - Open for Submissions

Apex Magazine is currently open for science fiction stories up 7500 words.  There's no deadline listed and payment is 6cents a word.  You can find the details here.

Autonomous Press - Anthology Call

Autonomous Press has posted an anthology call for "Spoon Knife 4:  A Neurodivergent Guide to Spacetime".  They're looking for speculative fiction stories up to 10,000 words that use time and space to tell the story.  They also have a theme with very big words ( I didn't feel like using a dictionary to decipher what they wanted ) and examples for you to use.  The deadline is September 30, 2018 and payment is 1cent a word.  You can find the details here.

Flame Tree Press - Anthology Calls

Flame Tree Press is seeking stories of 2000 to 4000 words for two anthologies.  The anthologies are "Haunted House" and "Cosy Crime".  Reprints are okay.  The deadline is July 29, 2018 and payment is 6cents a word.  You can find the details here.

Dark Helix Press - Anthology Call - Asian Writers

Canadian based Dark Helix Press has posted an anthology call for "Immersion:  An Asian Anthology of Love, Fantasy, and Speculative Fiction".  They're looking for stories with an Asian main character set in an immersive alternative past, present, or future.  Flash fiction stories up to 1800 words and and short stories up to 6000 words.  The deadline is December 31, 2018 and payment is $20CAD for flash and $40CAD for shorts.  Authors must have a geographical Asian heritage.  You can find the details here.
