Night of the Living Podcast is hosting their first annual Flash Horror Contest. The contest will be judged by author Jeremy Shipp. The submission period is July 1 to July 31 for horror stories up to 1000 words. The winning entry will be paid 5cents a word. Interesting -- but why do they call it a "contest" instead of a submission call? Writers submit stories; the editors pick one, publish it and pay the author. That's normal magazine business.
There's been a lot of that going on, Manuel. Maybe they think calling it a contest will draw in more people.
