Bracken is a new market that is looking for short stories up to 2500 words for their first issue. They're open to most genres ( I suspect from the guidelines that this is the various sub-genres of the speculative fiction arena ) but are biased toward magic realism. Payment is 2cents a word. You can
find the details here.

Really? A publication named Bracken, and I haven't a damned thing appropriate to submit.
Yes, and when I saw the name I thought, "Yippee, Michael's starting a zine".
As for having something to submit, you're Michael Bracken, I'm sure you could whip up a story over the weekend :)
I thought the same thing! Dang, it sure would be nice to have a friend who publishes 'zines. ;-)
I do love their artwork, BTW.
Thanks for posting, Sandra! And thanks for the kind words about the artwork. We love it too.
We are trying to straddle the literary and genre markets. We hope you submit. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by Alina. It's always a pleasure to post a new market.
