Death Where the Nights are Long - Non-fiction Anthology Call

I don't post too many non-fiction calls but the title of this one intrigued me and the pay is very, very good.  "Death Where the Nights are Long" is looking for essays, memoirs, poetry, and creative non-fiction that deals with "the idea and experience of death".  Pieces should be 2500 to 5000 words and the deadline is November 1.  Payment is $250 on acceptance and another $250 on publication with extra if the book sells well.  There is no publisher attached to the project at this time.  You can find all the details here.

And about that title - it would make for a great theme for a noir anthology you crime fiction editors out there.

I would have had something already to go,about my nephew Kyle's death, but it probably has too much sentiment. And, agreed, good title.

You could give it a try anyway, David. I think it would be very hard to write about the death of a loved one without some sentiment.
