The First Line - Call for Submissions

The First Line has posted all of the first sentences for 2014.  The deadline for the Spring issue is February 1, 2014 and the sentence is "Carlos discovered __________ (fill in the blank) under a pile of shoes in the back of his grandmother's closet.".  All genres are accepted.  Stories should be 300 to 5000 words long and payment is $25 to $50.  You can find all the details here.
