The Severed Head Story Cupboard

News stories are always a great place to find story ideas.  Take this one where they identify a severed head after twenty four years.  There are so many angles you can take with this story.  Why didn't her parents file a missing person report instead of the aunt?  Or what if a prostitute decided to follow the story and solve the mystery?  Of course you can stick to the facts and write a cold case mystery but what fun to just take a few basics and find your own story.  And I'm wondering who found that head on the golf course?  Wouldn't it be fun to chase down his story?
