Just heard via SMFS that friend of the blog, Rob Lopresti, has won the 2012 Black Orchid Novella Award.

Sandra, thanks so much for the shout out. The Banquet was great fun, lots of old and new friends. My novella, "the Red Envelope," will be in the July issue of Hitchcock, due out in April.
