I'm Back!

Just a quick note to say that I'm Back! We kinda got nailed by Irene here early Sunday morning. Not much in the way of flooding in our neck of the woods but she took out enough trees to heat a small city for the winter. And with the trees coming down, so did the power lines. After four days without electric we're finally back and I'm hoping to get caught up in the next day or two. Hope everyone stayed safe and dry!

Sheesh, four days without electricity, ugh! Glad to see you back on track. My family in the northeast got a heavy does of Irene too, but they're back on their feet as well.

We lucked out where I live in Mass, a few tree's down, no power loss. Other parts of the state were not so lucky. Vermont took a beating. Glad you ar eback in action and have power

Ugh! is right, Chris. We managed, but sponge baths and cold sandwiches by candlelight get old very quick.

Glad to hear you made it through okay, Sean!

Glad to hear you came through it, Sandra.

We had it easy compared to a lot of people, David. We tend to forget sometimes how much we depend on electricity for such mundane things as cooking, our water supply, and writing. :)

Been there, done that when I lived in Connecticut. And my house looked like it was covered with spinach salad. Glad the lights are back on.

Glad you are okay. Quite a year for bad weather.

I can just imagine your house, Ron. The roads around here looked like a long stretches of all you can eat salad bars.

More inconvient than dangerous, Naomi, and I'm happy to be back!

I think this is one of the stangest years for weather I've ever seen, Patti.
