3rd Annual Watery Grave Invitational
It's that time of year again. For the third year in a row, The Drowning Machine presents "The Watery Grave Invitational". All you have to do is send Naomi a link to one of your online stories published this past year to get your name tossed in the hat. If you're chosen you get to write a story for the contest. And there's cash prizes! Naomi also posts the links to your stories at The Drowning Machine blog so you'll have a wider audience for your work, it's a win-win, even if you're not chosen to participate in the contest. For all the details go to http://drowningmachine.blogspot.com/2011/05/3rd-lap-time-for-watery-grave.html

Thanks for the PR, Sandra! I hope you enter this year.
I think I probably will, Naomi, I had few stories online this year that qualify.
Sounds like fun... I will have to mark my calendar for next year though. The only crime fiction that was under 3000 words that I had published before April 15, was my little 800 word flash fiction piece for Patti Abbot's Scarry Night Challenge. And... looking at the calendar, I see that there is only a week left... I have way too much going on right now to start a new story for WGI challenge (pre-supposing of course, that I were invited.)
But, next year... something to look forward to. :)
Sandra, cool! I look forward to it.
Veronica, your flash fiction piece will qualify you if you send the link this week. The theme won't be announced until all invitations are issued and accepted, so if you won an invitation, you couldn't begin work on the story until May 22, and you would have until June 5 to submit it. Hope that timing opens a window of opportunity for you.
Thank you, Naomi... yes, it does open a window for me.
I will go over to Drowning Machine and post a comment with the link.
Thank you!
Ha! Correction... I will email link to my story, not post comment...
Sandra- Thanks for the heads up on this. Threw my hat in the ring, and hoping my number gets pulled. either way, it is already a great lineup and I can't wait to read the stories.

Yes, it's back.
The WGI is always great fun, Sean. Good luck to both you and Veronica.
Thanks, Patti, I came home to find an email from Tony and a note frome you. Good to see PulpPusher back open there were always great stories posted there. I especially remember one of yours :)
Sean, you're a most welcome addition to the fray!
Pulp Pusher is back and the sun is shining here for the first time in a while. If the economy improves, too, I'm going to eat ice cream all night long!
Forget the economy, Naomi, have ice cream anyway - it solves all the worlds problems :)
