Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. I hope that all of you are enjoying the company of family and friends on this special day. While we always seem to focus on the food it's really the companionship that creates unforgettable memories. Memories that we pull out and savor over the years and pass along to our children.
And my Thanksgiving Day gift to you is "Two Thanksgiving Day Gentlemen" by O. Henry. It's one of my favorite stories. No one plays on the heart strings as well as O. Henry.

Thanks, Jim!
Thank you, Sandra, and I hope you've had a good Thanksgiving.
O Henry somehow remains timeless and universal in spite of so many references that reflect the New York of C. 1900.
Yes, you'd think that they would seem outdated but his stories are so very human that they always strike a cord with people.
And yes, I had a good Thanksgiving with my sons and their families. Hope you had a wonderful day. too.
