Cormac Brown has announced the latest issue of Astonishing Adventures Magazine is now out. You can find all the details at http://cormacwrites.blogspot.com/ Cormac has also started another blog called Friday Flash Fiction. The idea here is to post a prompt every Friday then writers have until Tuesday to come up with a flash story and post it on their blogs. This sounds like a good idea to get the creative juices flowing if you're having a bit of a block, plus a great way to drive traffic to your blog. Not to mention the great fun you'll be having. Not a problem, Cormac. I was going to plug your Friday Flash blog sooner, but I was waiting to see how it worked. I like that the stories are published on their own blogs and you provide the links.
It makes things alot easier in terms of space and providing new readership to authors who previously would never have found their voices. I just wish the man who originated the thing would take up the mantle again, his starter sentences were much better than mine and he an infinitely better job of inspiring new writers.
I expect you'll find your footing soon, Cormac. I post prompts to my flash writing group every Friday and sometimes they inspire some amazing stories and other times they just fall flat. You just never know what is going to inspire a writer's imagination.
